Steven T. Caya received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1986 and his J.D., in 1989 from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to his joining Nowlan & Mouat, Steve had been a partner with a Milwaukee litigation firm. Steve's area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, both plaintiff and defense. He has handled a variety of lawsuits in both state and federal court arising from automobile accidents, defective products, nursing home neglect, faulty construction practices and wrongful death. Steve has tried numerous cases throughout Wisconsin and several of his cases have resulted in published decisions by the Wisconsin appellate courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, State Bar of Minnesota, the American Bar Association, the Rock County Bar Association and the Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin. Steve is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist with the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
